A clock going in both directions is it telling the time at all? This cycle was an exercise that had me thinking about the work of world building; creating ways of illustrating old ideologies, current lineages in newly birthed ways. I’ve often found parallels between time and identity when it comes to diasporic worlds - That ‘home’ is something created within us and simultaneously something of the past that we hear in stories and anecdotes from elders of times gone by. Maybe thats why we make these alternative landscapes, to bring us closer to a world forever remembered, rebuilt and emerging after/during the pain of colonialism. Let us never forget and forever build.
